A different cruise entirely: the lake rather than the river, and temples that were moved out of the flood and now stand on the shore with no town around them. Kalabsha, Wadi es-Sebua, Amada and finally Abu Simbel from the water at dawn. There are only a handful of boats on the lake, so you will often be the only party at a site.
Board near the High Dam. Kalabsha and Beit el-Wali in the afternoon, sail south overnight.
The Valley of the Lions, its sphinx avenue and the nearby temple of Dakka.
Amada, Derr and the tomb of Pennut, moved intact from further up the drowned valley.
Arrive off Abu Simbel and go ashore for the temples, then stay for the evening sound and light with the boat still moored.
Disembark at Abu Simbel after breakfast, with a road or air transfer back to Aswan.

Tell us and we will change it, or cancel it, at no cost. There is no cancellation fee and no deadline to worry about, because nothing has been paid up front. If plans shift while you are already here, we will rearrange what we can on the day.
