Privacy notice

What we collect when you enquire or book, why we hold it, and how long for.

What we collect

  • Enquiry data: your name, country, contact details and what you told us about your trip.
  • Booking data: full passport name, passport number, nationality and date of birth, where a site, hotel, cruise or domestic flight requires it.
  • Payment data: we do not store card numbers. Payments are handled by our payment provider and we see only the last four digits and the outcome.
  • Health or accessibility information, only where you have volunteered it so that we can run the trip safely.

Why we hold it

To quote for and deliver the trip you asked for, and to meet the record-keeping obligations imposed on licensed Egyptian travel agencies. Passport details are shared with hotels, cruise operators and airlines only where they are required to accept the booking.

How long

  • Enquiries that do not become bookings: deleted after 12 months.
  • Booking records: retained for the period required by Egyptian tax and tourism-licensing rules, then deleted.
  • Health and accessibility information: deleted at the end of your trip.

Who else sees it

Only the suppliers who need it to deliver your trip — the hotel, the cruise line, the domestic airline, the dive centre. We do not sell data, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not transfer it outside Egypt except where a supplier or payment provider is located abroad.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Write to the email address in the footer and we will respond within 30 days.

The contact form

When you send the contact form or the trip builder by email, what you typed is emailed to our inbox at info@tuyatravelegypt.com, which is hosted by Hostinger. The website itself keeps no copy. If you choose WhatsApp instead, the message goes through WhatsApp under its own privacy terms.

Cookies

This site sets no tracking or advertising cookies.

The language switcher in the bottom corner is the one exception. It is GTranslate's widget, so its script and flag images load from GTranslate's servers on every page and GTranslate receives your IP address. The translation itself loads only when you point at or tap the switcher. Once you choose a language, a cookie called googtrans remembers it as you move between pages. Choosing English again switches it back.

Draft for review. Written to align with Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law 151/2020, which requires a lawful basis, defined retention periods and a route for data-subject requests — and, depending on your processing volume, registration with the Data Protection Centre. Confirm your registration position and have this reviewed before you go live. The GTranslate language switcher also needs checking: it loads from GTranslate's servers on every page and uses Google's translation once a visitor engages with it. Confirm whether that, and its googtrans cookie, require prior consent under PDPL 151/2020. The contact form emails enquiries to the Hostinger-hosted inbox; list Hostinger as a processor if your registration requires it.
