Egypt with children, seven days

Shorter site visits, a camel, a felucca, and an afternoon nobody has to be anywhere.

6 nights Private Licensed guide No deposit Cancel any time, free

What this is

The same country at a pace children can take. We cut the temple time roughly in half, put the physical things in the morning, and leave afternoons open. Guides on this itinerary are chosen for being good with children rather than for their thesis on Middle Kingdom titulary.

Highlights

  • Giza with a short camel ride at the panorama point
  • The Royal Mummies Hall, usually the highlight for eight to fourteens
  • A felucca afternoon at Aswan
  • Free afternoons built in from the start
  • A hot air balloon at Luxor, if the children are old enough Optional · extra charge

Items marked optional are not in the price. Tell us which you want and we will quote them in writing before the trip.

Good to know

  • Wear closed-toe shoes; most sites are sand, gravel and uneven stone.
  • Summer temperatures in Upper Egypt regularly exceed 40C. We start early for a reason.
  • Bring your passport - several sites check ID at the gate.
  • Photography is free at most sites; interior tomb photography sometimes carries a separate ticket.
  • Children under six go free at most sites. Between six and twelve it is usually half price.
  • Balloon operators will not carry children under six, and some set the limit higher.

Questions

How do I book?

Send us the dates and how many people are travelling, by WhatsApp or the form on this page. We reply with a written itinerary and a fixed price, usually within a few hours. Confirming is a message, not a payment.

Are the hotels and flights included?

Everything listed under what is included is booked and paid by us as part of the package. We hold the reservations; you owe nothing until you arrive in Egypt.

Do you take a deposit?

No. We ask for no deposit and take no payment to hold a date. Nothing is charged when you book and nothing is payable in advance - you settle with us in Egypt once the trip is running.

What if I need to change or cancel?

Tell us and we will change it, or cancel it, at no cost. There is no cancellation fee and no deadline to worry about, because nothing has been paid up front. If plans shift while you are already here, we will rearrange what we can on the day.

Is Egypt safe for solo and female travellers?

The tourist regions are heavily policed and we work in them daily. Your guide stays with you at every site. If you are travelling alone, tell us - we will match you with a guide accordingly.
