Cairo layover tour with airport pickup

Six hours between flights, done without missing the second one.

5-7 hours Private Licensed guide No deposit Cancel any time, free

What this is

If your connection is long enough, you can see the pyramids and be back at the gate in time. We meet you inside the terminal, handle the re-entry, and build the route around your actual departure. The margin we keep is deliberately generous, because Cairo traffic is not predictable and a missed flight is not worth a fourth site.

Highlights

  • Meet and assist inside the arrivals hall
  • Giza plateau and the Sphinx
  • Return to departures with time to spare
  • The Egyptian Museum or Khan el-Khalili, if your connection allows Optional · extra charge

Items marked optional are not in the price. Tell us which you want and we will quote them in writing before the trip.

Between flights

We meet you at the gate with a name board and handle the visa desk. Route depends on how long you have: with six hours we do Giza and get you back; with nine we add the museum or the souk. We build in ninety minutes of traffic contingency and we do not shave it.

Good to know

  • Wear closed-toe shoes; most sites are sand, gravel and uneven stone.
  • Summer temperatures in Upper Egypt regularly exceed 40C. We start early for a reason.
  • Bring your passport - several sites check ID at the gate.
  • Photography is free at most sites; interior tomb photography sometimes carries a separate ticket.
  • Most nationalities can get a visa on arrival. Tell us your passport country when you book and we will confirm.
  • You need at least six hours between flights for this to be sensible. Less than that and we will tell you not to.

Questions

How do I book?

Send us the dates and how many people are travelling, by WhatsApp or the form on this page. We reply with a written itinerary and a fixed price, usually within a few hours. Confirming is a message, not a payment.

Do you take a deposit?

No. We ask for no deposit and take no payment to hold a date. Nothing is charged when you book and nothing is payable in advance - you settle with us in Egypt once the trip is running.

What if I need to change or cancel?

Tell us and we will change it, or cancel it, at no cost. There is no cancellation fee and no deadline to worry about, because nothing has been paid up front. If plans shift while you are already here, we will rearrange what we can on the day.

Is Egypt safe for solo and female travellers?

The tourist regions are heavily policed and we work in them daily. Your guide stays with you at every site. If you are travelling alone, tell us - we will match you with a guide accordingly.
