Most visitors do the museum and the pyramids on separate days and see both badly. They are four kilometres apart. Done in the right order - museum first, while the light is soft and the halls are empty, plateau after - it is one day, and the Tutankhamun collection makes sense of what you are standing on afterwards. Expect to walk five or six kilometres in total.
Items marked optional are not in the price. Tell us which you want and we will quote them in writing before the trip.
Pickup at 07:30. The Grand Egyptian Museum opens at 09:00 and the first ninety minutes are the quietest of the day. We do the Tutankhamun galleries and the Grand Staircase, break for lunch, then cross to the plateau for the afternoon when the coaches have thinned out.
Send us the dates and how many people are travelling, by WhatsApp or the form on this page. We reply with a written itinerary and a fixed price, usually within a few hours. Confirming is a message, not a payment.
No. We ask for no deposit and take no payment to hold a date. Nothing is charged when you book and nothing is payable in advance - you settle with us in Egypt once the trip is running.
Tell us and we will change it, or cancel it, at no cost. There is no cancellation fee and no deadline to worry about, because nothing has been paid up front. If plans shift while you are already here, we will rearrange what we can on the day.
The tourist regions are heavily policed and we work in them daily. Your guide stays with you at every site. If you are travelling alone, tell us - we will match you with a guide accordingly.
For the Tutankhamun material, yes - it is all in one place now and properly lit. The Tahrir museum still holds the Old Kingdom masterpieces and is a different, denser experience. If you have two days, do both.
